Disbursements you may also need to pay
In addition to the fees above, other disbursements may be incurred where required. These commonly include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Interpreting
- Usually charged at £25 per hour for interpreting and £10 per hour for travel and expenses where interpretation is provided by the firm. Otherwise, the fee is advised on an individual basis.
- Translation of documents
- Fees to be advised on an individual basis.
- Expert reports
- Reports from medical specialists, social workers or country experts. Fees vary according to the expert required.
- Passport applications
- Online: £75.50. Paper: £85.00.
- Adult passport application
- Online: £85.50. Paper: £95.00.
- Child passport application
- Online: £49.00. Paper: £58.50. Overseas: £98.51.
- Business plan
- Fees to be advised on an individual basis.
- Counsel fees
- Counsel can be instructed upon request. Counsel’s fees are advised on an individual basis.
- VCAS fees
- Fees vary according to the application.
* Home Office and court fees change from time to time. We will confirm the current fee before any application is submitted.
** The initial consultation fee is deducted from the final bill if we go on to deal with your case.
Time frames
The length of time needed to prepare and submit an application depends on the nature and complexity of the application, the time required to gather supporting documentation and, in certain cases, the time needed to fulfil specific regulatory requirements. We can provide a more accurate estimate once we receive additional information about your specific case.
The time frame for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to reach a decision on an application also varies. You can review the current UKVI visa processing times on GOV.UK.
